Matt Neal survived an horrific crash on the 1st lap of race 1 today at Brands Hatch.
Neal was left stranded in the middle of the track after heavy contact with Jackson and was then collected by Pinkney at well over 100 mph.
The race was immediately red flagged as eleven cars were left damaged on track. Neal was extracated from the car and had a brief spell in Hospital before being released.
The impact was said to be in excess of 25g, which has left the Honda Civic requiring a complete reshell, meaning the team will be working day and night between now and Knockhill in only two weeks time.
Shedden suffered a similar fate after front suspension damage ruled him out of a finishing position as well. |
